To whom it may concern,
Burncoat High School is not only a school filled with students and faculty, but a family as well. We have become such a close-knit school, that it would be a shame if we could not give everyone a chance to really feel like a family. In order for everyone to get a chance to remember their time at Burncoat, we must sell advertisements to help make the cost of our yearbook cheaper. It would not only help out those who can't afford the yearbook, but we would make it our goal to put your advertisement into our yearbook and truly show our appreciation for what you have done to help us. $5 is still $5; we appreciate every penny we can get. There are multiple different people who would love to meet with you, and speak further about how valuable this opportunity is for a local high school. You can also meet with any member of our yearbook class to speak one on one with us.
Sincerely,
Burncoat High School

Police shoot homeless man
http://www.cnn.com/2015/01/12/us/albuquerque-police-murder-charges/index.html
Two New Mexico and police officers will face first-degree murder charges in a shooting of a homeless man in the hills above Albuquerque. These men seemed to have no idea the man was homeless, or mentally ill. Because of this they will be finishing their first arraignment and heading to second arraignment to face charges and possible prison time if convicted. They said the reason he was shot was because he was living in the hills, which is illegal.
I think this is outrageous. I watched the video and I was shocked by how far the officers went. They shouldn't have shot him in the back because there as no need for such brutality from someone not doing anything.

Zimmerman back on trial
http://www.cnn.com/2015/01/10/us/george-zimmerman-arrested/index.html
Zimmerman sent to trial again, when will he learn? It seems he will be brought up on domestic violence charges against a girlfriend. It has been said that Zimmerman threw a wine bottle at his girlfriend who has now brought charges upon him. "He has not been having much luck with the ladies," so his defense attorney says. Bail will be set at $5000.
I think Zimmerman going to trial again in absurd. He had a second chance, and kind of blew it. If you're being brought to court again for something to do with "violence," it's kind of hard to keep saying it was "purely an accident." Surprised to see Zimmerman back in court, yes. Suprised to see the charges against him? Not so much.

What makes a "good news source" good?
http://www.cnn.com/2015/01/09/europe/charlie-hebdo-paris-shooting/index.html
CNN is a reliable news source because it uses facts and reliable sources. CNN refrains from putting their own news reporter's and journalist's opinions to their work for the public eye. CNN uses people that were there at the time of an incident, and saw what was happened. This news source makes sure to only put out valid information that can be proved to be true. They prove the news in their articles with the facts presented. This news cite uses all detail and provides and allows for the public to have a very extensive look into the news spoken/written about. It is important for the news to give valid evidence, because once they use lies or opinions, the public may start to doubt the news source's validity. I believe that CNN is a very reliable news source.

Shouting Fire Discussion Questions
1. Some may argue that the "freedom of speech" amendment may go too far because of how far it can get. It allows the words of many to go out, even without needing justification or truth behind them. It makes some wonder we are given too MUCH freedom to express ourselves.
2. Almontaser was put in a bad spotlight. After controversy over a tshirt's wording, she resigned from her job as principal of an elementary school. I feel the public twisted her words so much and might have even ruined her life for good. All the media did was twist her words and make her look as if her intentions were wrongful, only they were no where close to it. This was an unnecessary problem that gave attention to a problem that wasn't even apparent.
3. A professor from the Univesity of Colorado was fired after he created an article over the attack on 9/11 that sparked people's attention in bad ways. Freedom of speech allows honestly anyone to say anything they want, true or false, boardline uncalled for, etc.
