1) Why were CBS executives and its journalists so hesitant about questioning Senator McCarthy? 
They were so hesitant to question Senator McCarthy because they didn't want to be accused of going against/ attacked by Senator McCarthy.

2) What method did Murrow and the other journalists use in the first story against McCarthy? Why did they choose this way to tell their story?
They used McCarthy's exact words and pictures because they wanted to show the public the contradicting of McCarthy- how he was saying one thing, but doing another.

3) Describe McCarthy's appearance on Murrow's program. In your opinion, was it positive? Negative?
I think McCarthy's appearance was negative because it showed how narrow minded and arrogant he was toward America. It focused on how America was being blinded by McCarthy's accusations.
4) Why did Murrow's schedule get changed on CBS from a nightly program to Sunday afternoons?
It started to air on Sunday afternoons because it became less popular.
5) What does Friendly and Murrow refer to as the "downfall of television?"
"Downfall of television" refers to the fall of educational value in television, and now its only purpose is to entertain the public.
6) What ended up happening to McCarthy?
McCarthy resigned from being senator.
7) What was Murrow's speech at the beginning and the end of the film about?
 Murrow spoke about his experience and explained to the public how he viewed television and its impact on society today. He spoke of how he wants television to "see it reflect occasionally the hard, unyielding realities of the world in which we live."
